Description

I can't take any credit for finding the reverse color matrix filter, epdtry on the MLP-vectors subreddit found the numbers, [link]
he deserves all the credit for this (his website: [link] ). I didn't even know how to use the color matrix when he mention it, when I finally figured it out I thought this should be made more accessible to less experience inkscape users, so I uploaded this. I still encourage you to try and learn how to implement the color matrix manually just for experience.

What is this?: it's an inkscape document with two layers, the lower layer is setup with the reverse filter to correct MLPFiM night time colors into daytime colors. If you want to vectorize a screenshot from the episode "Luna Eclipsed" you'll most likely find that the colors are darkened due to the night time color filter used by the creators. As part of making a proper vector you should try to use the original daytime colors for the best looking standalone vectors.

How do I use this?
1)download the document and open it in inkscape (duh)

2)take a screenshot (or shape with colors that need to be corrected) and paste it in the layer labeled "put image here". the colors should change automatically when you paste them in the correct layer, but if they don't click on the object then on the top bar select filters--->filter editor and check the "click me" filter (object must be selected)

3)prepare a shape on the second layer labeled "put swatches here" click the shape, press "d" for the dropper tool and click on the color you want to use, then you can copy those swatch shapes over to your vector project to use those corrected colors

Note: the colors obtained by color correcting screenshots are far from perfect, whenever possible use reputable sources for color references, if you want colors for the costume of one of the mane6, sweetie belle, Derpy, or Spike you can use a screenshot from the castle creator flash game [link]

Ok, I FINALLY got it to work. Took forever, though...
